Sound and Movement for Spring:
Relaxing and Connecting Theatre Exercises for Healers and Creatives
Facilitated by Jessica Joy, MA, MHC-LP
Four Thursdays beginning May 9th
Cost is $100 for the series
This class is a space just for us, as a group, to use our voices and bodies to express and unwind from the stressors of this wild world. We will pick up some new tools to use in our personal or professional practices and have fun together, connecting in mindful and meaningful ways. This class incorporates exercises used as ensemble members in the theatre, but is not about performance. It incorporates therapeutic arts practices, but is not a therapy group. Come shake off those winter yucks and play at Wellness Embodied.
18 and older. Trauma Informed LGBTQIA2S Safe(r) Space.
Jessica Joy’s community and the community she has served as a psychotherapist and facilitator tend to be creative, highly sensitive, trauma surviving, and intersectionally diverse. Her clients are often folks who grew up feeling somehow different from the flock. She is offering trauma-informed, client-centered, culturally affirming psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, couples and other relationship constellations; and groups, including upcoming Therapeutic Personal Storytelling and Expressive Arts Therapy groups. Her practice has drawn from a number of psychotherapy modalities in collaboration with each client including Rogerian, Narrative, Expressive Arts, Depth Psychology, Interpersonal Neurobiology, IFS, and DBT; most of which include Somatic, Mindfulness, and Attachment Theory elements.
