BROOK NAM

LCSW-R, Psychotherapist, KAP

pronouns: she/her

Brook is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked extensively with adults with addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, and the individuation process. Her approach is first and foremost based on Rogerian Person-Centered therapy. She believes that everyone can achieve their full potential if they are provided with a sense of safety, acceptance, connection, and belonging.

As a therapist she tries to create a sense of safe time and space that will enable people dare to be their authentic self without judgment: the ultimate home where healing and meaning can take roots.

Brook employs modalities such as SE (somatic experiencing), Motivational interviewing, and some components of CBT to facilitate healing, growth, and self-discovery. Brook is also a ketamine assisted psychotherapy provider.

Brook received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Kangwon University in Korea and an additional Master’s degree in Social Work from Adelphi University. She was a teacher and a massage therapist in a previous life.
