MHC-LP Psychotherapist
pronouns: (they/them)
Kaden centers their counseling in the belief that people are the experts of their own lives. They seek to collaborate with clients by fostering a supportive environment for self-exploration in which clients develop the skills and confidence to locate and then pursue the path to their own healing. As a trans clinician, Kaden understands the importance of being able to safely bring your whole self into the therapy space, without judgement and with someone who will work to understand the richness of your identity. They seek to create an affirming environment for all clients and are committed to continued personal and professional development in an anti-racist and anti-oppressive counseling practice.
Kaden has experience working teens and adults navigating identity development, finding empowerment after trauma, and developing self-advocacy and relational skills. Their clinical interests include working with queer, trans, and neurodivergent clients and supporting them through life transitions, identity development, and the many complexities of life. They work from a person-centered lens and incorporate neuro-affirming mindfulness and acceptance skills as a way of helping ease clients into embodiment and connection to self.
Kaden is also trainedin EMDR.
They received their BA from Vassar College in Science, Technology, and Society (STS) and their MA in Mental Health Counseling at Marist College. In their free time, they enjoy gardening, cooking for loved ones, saying hello to local squirrels, and getting just a little competitive at board games.
